Workshop Follow Up

Photogen Inc Blog Episode #8: A Bryan Workshop! from eliesa on Vimeo.

It was an absolute blast hosting the workshop last month, but it’s SO exciting when I see how the ideas discussed begin to take root for the photographers that attended! Just this week I have seen new film images (that were processed by Richard Photo Lab) from Matt Dorrah and Amelia Strauss. Also, Kallie Buckmaster just presented her first Cypress Album to a client! I’m so happy to see this! If you were at the workshop and you want to share something that you learned, please leave a comment. We would love to hear from you!
Also, major thanks to Eliesa of Photogen Inc for putting together her own recap of her time her time in Alabama! Check out her video above!
Tomorrow I’m going to post some film shots taken at the workshop! Stay Tuned!

Megan and Mihir’s Reception

Megan and Mihir’s Wedding Reception from A Bryan Photo on Vimeo.

This video is a quick preview from the stunning Charleston wedding we photographed this weekend. The weekend included two ceremonies, an Indian ceremony on Saturday at Daniel Island Club and a traditional ceremony on Sunday at Lowndes Grove. All of the events were designed my the amazing Calder Clark of Blue Moon Events!

The video was shot on the new 5D Mark II (and we are still trying to figure out how the focusing works). Thanks to my amazing intern Patrick for shooting the video for me!

Sometimes we finish shooting 8mm at a wedding and we realize on Monday morning that we still have a half a roll of unused film that has to be shot off before we can mail it to our lab. A few weeks ago we had two whole minutes left, so we had an impromptu Monday morning dance party! Please note our studio manager Josh dancing in the window. Its by far my favorite moment of this dance break.

Enjoy!

Robby’s Last Day

Robby’s Demo Reel (ABP Style) from A Bryan Photo on Vimeo.

Today, sadly, is Robby’s last day to work for A Bryan Photo. He is moving to LA to try his hand at acting and entertaining America. We are sad to see him go, but at the same time, we are excited about his new opportunities. Since I’m kind and loving, I decided to help him with a promotional video that he can send to producers and directors that will hopefully land him some “gigs” in the “biz”. Who knows, maybe we will one day see him on “The ‘Bu”!

Good luck, Robby!
We look forward to seeing where you go.

I’m trying to talk Robby into joining me for WPPI in Vegas in a few weeks.

Also, any photographer in the LA area who may be looking for a part time studio mananger, drop a line in the comments because Robby would be amazing for you!
Follow Robby’s LA adventures through his twitter and his blog.
