Liz & John Mark, Jackson

Liz & John Mark chose to get married in Liz’s hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. I had the honor of photographing Liz and her family at her childhood home before the wedding. There’s nothing I love more than the chance to photograph a bride’s prep and portraits in a place that has so many wonderful memories tied to it. Liz put her dress on in her bedroom and we took portraits on the lawn in front of their home. Liz’s father had the forethought to place their basketball in the yard beside the driveway, paying homage to this scene from Father of the Bride. The whole day felt representative of that film : Liz’s home, the care Liz & her family had for one another, the connection and love Liz & John Mark exuded, and the big celebration that evening!

Here’s a link to their gallery. Enjoy some of my favorites below.

Katie & Todd, Hilton Head

This wonderful wedding was just featured in Weddings Unveiled and I’m proud to present it here. Katie and Todd got married in Hilton Head, with an intimate group of family and friends in attendance. While the couple lives in NYC, they chose to be married in South Carolina where Katie’s parents have a home.
This event was impeccably designed by the gals of Calder Clark Designs.
Enjoy!

Christina & Chris (Images)

Christina and Chris live in New York but chose to get married at Christina’s uncle’s home in Florence, Alabama. Christina spent her childhood summer’s at this cabin on the Tennessee River. She hoped that they could have a wedding that reflected the peace and joy of her time there while young. With a ceremony by the water, a reception among the pine trees, and bbq provided by her uncle’s smoker, they created an experience that their guests won’t soon forget. This was Alabama at its finest.

Preview of Megan & Alex’s Wedding

So jazzed* about this wedding! Absolutely incredible couple, and a really unique day. Hung out in Charleston with Alex, drove to Megan’s Aunt and Uncles’ house (where the ceremony was held), and then snuck onto a closed plantation to take some shots of them together. The latter is where the above photo was made.

Peace. – Caleb

(*so excited I’m doing jazz hands right now….really difficult to type…)

Bicycler in Miami

I’ve always loved catching bicyclers on film.

I have more thoughts on the philosophical relationship between bikes and film, but I have to save something for my book tour…
