Julia & Nathan rented our Homemade Films camera to take with them on their Honeymoon. Because this was such a special trip and incredible moment in their lives, they wanted to capture it in a way that would help preserve it in their memories. For the first part of their honeymoon, they went to Miami, Florida to relax and enjoy the relief from wedding planning. Next week we will show you the continuation of their trip as the toured through the south, going through Birmingham, Blackberry Farm, and ending in Nashville.
We love their approach to shooting Super 8. They love having fun and it certainly shows through the footage. I personally love the track and think it adds to the quirkiness and charm of the film.
Enjoy!

Every winter my team and I take a trip to North Carolina to set goals for the future while also reflecting on our past year’s work. It’s an incredible couple days and we always leave with a laundry list of things to do so that we may improve our process and experience. We also leave plenty of time for play and relaxation. Here’s a Super 8 film that Branden shot of us sledding. A truck had made a groove in the snow with its tire track and it froze over. This was optimal for a quick (yet controlled) trip down the mountain.
Enjoy!

I’ve known the Kallam family for years and I’m honored to have done this session with them over Christmas. Tim is a local pastor in Birmingham and has performed many of the wedding ceremonies over the years that I photographed. As a gift for performing their wedding ceremony, Whitney and Jason gave the Kallam’s a session with me. I hope its not our last!

I recently bought a new Lomo RL (Russian Lens) and I’m loving the results. I took this image of Caleb after having breakfast at Zaza’s last week.
Shot using Neopan 1600.
