Kathryn & Ted had a very eclectic & relaxed approach to their wedding day experience. Ted spent the morning with friends in their French Quarter apt while Kathryn prepped at the Melrose Mansion. Ted met up Kathryn at Melrose where they hopped a cab for the New Orleans Museum of Art for a twilight ceremony & reception in the sculpture garden. I was proud to document this wedding out of my personal fondness for Ted’s band, The Generationals. If you aren’t familiar with their music, I can’t recommend enough buying one of their vinyls.
If you have followed my work for sometime, you know my obsession with shooting weddings in New Orleans. There really is nothing that rivals the energy and personality of a NOLA soiree. Emily and Damion’s wedding was no exception. They had friends and family traveling from all over the world to attend the wedding. Emily is a NOLA native and teamed up with the amazing Kenny Lacour of Dakota Events to ensure everyone had an incredible experience. Damion has been living in Amsterdam for the past few years and flew over a German DJ which he loves for the welcome party on Friday night. It set the tune for yet another uniquely wonderful weekend in the Big Easy. Enjoy some of my favorite images below from the wedding day.
I’m a lucky man to shoot weddings in New Orleans so often. The city has so much character & vibrance and it’s always an incredible backdrop for documenting a wedding. Charlotte and Toby’s wedding was no exception. With a ceremony at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, a second line through the French Quarter, and a lively party at Arnaud’s, they had the quintessential NOLA celebration. Thanks to Kenny Lacour for planning and designing such a beautiful event!
