Leigh & Matt, Super 8

This spring, I had the opportunity to shoot Leigh & Matt’s wedding on her family property in the foothills of Tennessee. We love this film so much because we feel it represents our style perfectly; southern vibe, bright couple, beautiful atmosphere, & upbeat song. We have chosen it as the portfolio film for our site and are proud to show it here.

Anita & Anil, Charleston

Anita & Anil live in New York but chose to have their wedding in Charleston with a close group of family and friends. I loved the intimate nature of the event. So relaxed and comfortable. This was only the second Indian ceremony I have ever documented and it proved to be just as interesting and beautiful.
The event was designed and planned by the gals of Calder Clark Designs. As always, their events are so incredible to experience and document. Enjoy some of my favorite images from the wedding day.

Charlotte & Gabe, Evening Party

Recently I posted Charlotte & Gabe’s beautiful and intimate morning ceremony at Blackberry Farm. Charlotte & Gabe got married on the front lawn of the property and then proceed to a picnic lunch in a nearby field. After lunch, everyone was able to relax on the property and later prepare for a dinner at the main barn. The black tie affair was the perfect ending to an already unique afternoon. This event, as well as the morning, was designed by Calder Clark Designs.

Charlotte & Gabe, Morning Ceremony

Charlotte & Gabe chose a different pace for their wedding ceremony at Blackberry Farm. They chose to have a peaceful morning ceremony on the front lawn, followed by a picnic lunch with close family and friends in a nearby field. I love this serene approach to a wedding day and the mood it creates. As a photographer it allows for very moments to unfold which translate so well to film.

A Blackberry Farm Rehearsal Dinner

The evening before the wedding where closest friends gather is much more than a meal. It’s a time of story-telling and foreshadowing of the excitement to come. We feel it’s the beginning of the wedding ceremony, which is why we want to be there. Paige and Stodd’s rehearsal dinner was no exception to this rule. Designed by Calder Clark’s crew, this southern affair was exactly how I like them : full of energy, wisdom, bourbon, corn on the cob, and music. Speaking of music, Stodd joined the bluegrass band at the end of the night and serenaded his bride-to-be with a cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s Wagon Wheel. I recorded the song and it can be heard on their slideshow from the evening.
