Webb Family

I recently got the chance to photograph our friends, the Webbs, in their front yard and on their front porch. The porch is where they spend the most time together including where they bathe their son with a garden hose in the evening. I can’t get over how much life this family exudes.

Larkyn & Jim, Birmingham

Larkyn & Jim were a lovely New York City couple who chose to tie the knot in Birmingham, Larkyn’s hometown. Their winter wedding is beloved by the A Bryan Photo team. We greatly admire Larkyn’s bold choice in wedding gown, a look that she pulled off flawlessly. The lively New York crowd celebrated well and added to the flare of this unique Birmingham wedding. Check out the blog of Mariée Ami for more insight into this event. Here are some of my favorite images from a lovely night with an even lovelier couple.

Jane & Ryan, Super 8

Jane & Ryan, Birmingham

I was thrilled when my old friend, Jane Brock, contacted me this past November to tell me she was engaged. I have known Jane and her family since they helped start Urban Standard, a Birmingham staple for all who live in the city. Urban Standard’s menu was crafted around primarily Brock family recipes, and they can still be enjoyed today.

I’ve always appreciated the Brocks’ taste & style, and I knew that Jane’s wedding would display these sensibilities well. They designed the event themselves and brought florist Amy Merrick in to carry out their vision. Their direction to Amy was a wedding where “Ralph Lauren meets winter.” Amy’s florals were complemented well by plaid patterns throughout the club. Jane’s father made the cake stand, which had their initials and wedding date carved into the top.

And lest I forget about the couple, Jane & Ryan were a total blessing to document. They were so excited to be married and were so thrilled to be sharing their joy with a small group of those closest to them. We set up our Polaroid portrait studio which always adds some spice to a reception. Below are my favorite images from the wedding. Check out Amy Merrick’s post for her perspective on the event.
