This is Rob Culpepper last month in a rare Birmingham snow shower.
Captured on a Rolleiflex.
I’ve had the honor of working with the Brooke family several times and I was thrilled when I was asked to document their daughter Sally’s marriage to Steven. Sally had always wanted to get married at Christmas time and she choose her hometown of Birmingham as the location. We spent the start of the day at her parents beautiful home outside of English Village, which was the perfect backdrop for her prep and portraits. The cold, overcast day provided a romance to a day that was already planned and designed well by Mariée Ami. This couple was so lovely and I look forward to working with them more in the future.

I loved Martha & John’s intimate Birmingham wedding last month. They had just their siblings in the wedding party and celebrated with close friends and family. It was designed and planned beautifully by Neillie Butler of Marie Ami Events. Enjoy some of my favorite Rolleiflex and Holga images from the wedding day!
What a wonderful Southern celebration between two long time Birmingham families, the Botsfords and the Blankenships. I got to photograph both Din & Ross at their parents’ homes before the wedding, followed by a ceremony at the Advent and reception at Mountain Brook Club.
Din was the 13th member of her family to wear this wedding dress, originally worn by her grandmother. It’s been changed and altered by each bride, but it remains a family tradition to wear the dress and to have your photo taken on the steps of the Advent post ceremony w/ your new groom!
Enjoy the images from this classic Southern affair.
I’ve had the chance to photograph every one of Mary Hudson’s birthdays. I’m thankful that my friends, the Wingates, continue the tradition of hiring me for the event. Here are a few images from her 4th birthday at the end of April.
