We are so proud to have a wonderful new member to the A Bryan Photo team, Abby Steverson. Abby joined us this summer and has been working along side Branden in our printing and packaging room. An interior designer by trade, Abby is also heading up our Found Frames project. We’re excited to share some of her projects on the blog in the near future. Abby recently got engaged and I’m so excited about documenting her wedding in April!
Here’s a quick Q & A with Ms Steverson. Stop by the studio and meet her!
What did you do before we met you?
After graduating from Auburn University with an Interior Design degree, I launched into an incredible journey with the World Race. The 11-country, 11-month missions adventure allowed me the opportunity to partner with multiple ministries across the globe. Photography became my creative outlet while living out of a backpack… oh, and I always used rare times of wifi access to check the A Bryan Photo blog for inspiration.
What has been your favorite part about working here?
I have loved observing the dynamics of the ABP team. While craftsmanship and creative excellence are being pursued, so are relationships. Whether Bryan is shooting a family or Branden’s wife has stopped in for lunch, the team’s love of connection and community is obvious. Two things that can almost always be found in the studio? Contagious laughter and a carefully-crafted cup of coffee.
You must spend $1,000 on yourself. What’s your loot?
Currently? Great boots and fall/winter wardrobe pieces. Even though I live in Alabama, I like to pretend I have a need for long coats and layered garb.
Your ultimate roll-up-the-rug, dancin’ shoes mix CD starts with what tune?
As embarrassing as it is, Wagon Wheel. It makes me think of tailgating in Auburn and outdoor shindigs. Gets me every time.
It rains all Saturday. The Netflix guy lives next door. What three flicks do you borrow?
I loooooooove this question:
That Thing You Do
When Harry Met Sally
Bridget Jones’s Diary
All costs covered, you have 36 hours to be anywhere. Where shall we be going… and with whom?
We’re headed to NYC with the ABP team, my roommates and my fiancé, Alex. We squeeze in as many Broadway shows as possible and only pause for grub at ABC Kitchen. Broadway. All. Day. Long.
