Day Two, Mother of Peace School

This school was probably my favorite of all the TOMS shoe drops that we did. It was a smaller school which created a very intimate environment for all the workers. At some of the bigger schools it often felt like an assembly line because the kids outnumbered the volunteers by a great number. At Mother of Peace School we had one volunteer per 5 kids. This particular school has a program for sexually abused children called "Operation Bobbi Bear : Every Little Body is a Somebody". The kids were so cute and excited about their new gift.

The kids show their appreciation for the TOMS team through song and dance:

Dance Party!

Words of truth <333
I almost melted in my seat when I saw the kids cute little feet in the orange candy stripped shoes!
Every time I see the kids I just want to pull them out of my screen and squeeze them. Too much I know, but it's my honest reaction :/

I think what TOMs shoes and Hanson are doing is truly remarkable...and I'm just glad to be a part of it. Luckily another Canadian Hanson fan pointed me in a direction of a Canadian website that sells TOMs, so I helped get to 50,000! Those kids are so appreciative to have those shoes...not to mention the excitement of having visitors! I've truly been inspired! Keep up the amazing work!

Proud Canadian TOMs shoe wearer,
Alyssa

It is so touching to see all of those cute little kids with shoes on their feet. You can see it in their faces that they are truly appreciative and are thankful for all that Hanson as well as all the fans and everyone else who has purchased TOMS Shoes has done for them. I'm so glad to see the progress that is being made to make the lives of these people a little better.

Thank you so much for your amazing pictures. Your ability to capture the hopeful feeling that seems to be in the air is really captivating. The way you are taking the pictures is really telling a story in itself!

Again, thank you, and thank Hanson. What an amazing group of guys to have done all they have done, and then for you to decide, at the last moment, that the cause they fight for is worthy enough for you to take the flight over Africa!

I can't wait for your next blog;)

Yesterday, I wrote a huge comment on these pictures but... It didn't go through. Something with the comment system I guess. Anyway, I love your pictures and putting them together with the stories at TOMS' shoe drop blog they become even more overwhelming.

And, with that said, I need to ask your authorization to use a few of those pictures on a layout for a website I'm putting together for a charity project I'm working on. Hopefully it's just temporary but still, I felt the obligation to ask you first. Just because it's online it doesn't mean I have to take them without your permission.

If you want to know more about the project, email me at bibianacmps@gmail.com. I know you must be busy there, but it might be a good thing to pass on to the people you're working with at the moment! :)

Thank you, Bryan. Thank you so much for doing such great work!

All the love,
Biba
