$8,000!
Hello from Capetown!
I have an awful internet connection with limited time but wanted to update you on some exciting developments. We have just crossed the $8,000 mark! You all are seriously unbelievable. My blackberry buzzes about every 5 minutes with a new donation, and I can't help but grin each time it happens. We are all having dinner tonight and my blackberry buzzed three different occasions, all for the Limited Edition Print! The whole crew was high fiving, we were so thrilled with your generosity.
Let's get it to $10,000 before Sunday night! I am looking forward to seeing the look of the face of that principal when he sees the check. I can't wait to tell him of all your support of these kid's future. We will have very limited internet for the next few days but I'm going to do my best to pop on and let you know where we stand.
Good night, and keep it up!

Awesome! :)
That's amazing! I really hope you hit $10,000. Think you could get a picture of the expression on the principal's face? lol ;)
wow thats just awesome
i almost think we can go over this 10,000 mark. and i would also love to see the principal when they see the check.
Bryan, I appreciate all the updates and how generous and thoughtful you and the guys of Hanson have been for all those children and schools in SA. I was wondering if you could explain this though in your next blog..
You want to raise 10,000 by Monday to donate to the principal of the school and so far have reached 8,000.
And you're selling framed, signed, and matted print of Hanson and the children for 750 a piece for 10 pieces, which is 7,500.
What is the goal with that 7,500? And where will it be going towards?
Sorry for the questions, but curious as to where the math works out in all these donations and goals.
Enjoy the rest of your time there and I look forward to hearing more updates! Thanks for keeping everyone so informed of all the hard work and great effort put in by you, and the Hanson guys.
The expense of the framing and the print and shipping is $250, which means a net of $500. Sell 10 of those and it will be $5000.
Amazing! I can't believe so much money has been raised so far. That's just...great news to hear! I'm glad this has been SO successful. I just know you can hit the goal by Sunday.
Great work! don't stop!
Rock on!
im so excited!! i think this was such a great idea, knowing that even a $5 donation will help a child out is amazing.. and its such a good feeling to know that WE are actually making a difference.. we aren't waiting for things to get better, we're doing what we can NOW to make a difference. :)
unbelievable... you guys are absolutely amazing, i dont have a spare 750 lying around but i have a couple hundred to donate from my school financial aid and i bet you'll make over the goal amount by monday!
i am SOOO happy to help! :)
Awesome! I'm sure you'll hit your goal. I wish I could see the expression on that principal's face, too. Thanks for the update.
Incredible! I am so encouraged!
We are making a difference!

i would LOVE to buy that print and help out that way, but my bank account just wont allow it! but i guess any donation is a good one! anyway, best of luck and i hope you reach the $10,000. i'm going to send this blog link to some of my friends on facebook and such, i think. some of them will help, i'm sure. this is amazing!
I have a question for you guys and i'm really hoping you will be able to read it before you leave to maybe talk to the principal and see if this is possible...A girl on the hanson fan club brought up the idea of each of us (if possible) maybe being able to sponsor a child from the school and give a certain amount each month...people are showing some interest, so we were wondering if there was any way to find out how much money would be needed a month to sponsor each child and if something could be set up to make this happen. Im sure MANY people would love to do this if we can make it happen and that way we could continue to make a difference in the lives of these children after you guys leave. So i dont know if you could maybe talk to the principal of the school when you give him the check and let us know? That would be great! I hope you guys have a great day!
p.s. here is a link to the post of the original idea if anyone is interested in looking

Thank you so much for helping us help others! Taylor once said something similar to the idea Hanson is trying to create a tangeable way to help and make a difference. This is an awesome idea!!!
You guys are doing an amazing job, and I can't wait to hear the next update and see more pictures!
Bryan, your pictures are truly inspiring. After seeing those sweet faces, I can't see how anyone wouldn't donate at least a $1.

Ha ha i love it...a girl on hanson net....that would be me. Yeah if you could follow the link when you get a chnace bryan that would be great, we would all love to continue to help in whatever way we can.
It's so great the even me here up north in Norway can help children in South Africa! so I've just donated 30 $ and I'm off to tell all the norwegian fans to do the same! :) great job guys!
This idea of sponsoring a child is really good, Claire. I'm already sponsoring a tibetan child that lives in a school in India and it's crazy to see how much we can help with almost "nothing".
