Elyse and Paul

This past week we posted Elyse and Paul’s wedding on our wedding site. It was another beautiful Kristin Newman event in Charleston. Elyse was glowing all day and their images carry a vibrance that makes me proud to shoot weddings. Also, check out their 8mm. My friend John Zahl, who lives in Charleston, introduced me to Van Cochran who shot the footage.
Happy Marriage Elyse and Paul!

Contest Winners: Ellen and Matt

Some of you may remember a photo contest that I offered on the blog about two months ago. If you have forgotten, click here, and allow me to jog your memory. Matt called and told me of his plan to propose to his girlfriend, Ellen, on stage after the Broadway show I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. How could I resist this opportunity? I have been wanting to tell of my trip for awhile, but since she is a regular checker of the blog I had to keep it under wraps! Matt flew me up on Monday and I met them outside the theatre after the show (believe me, I tried so hard to talk the door man into letting me in but it was to no avail) and we went all around town taking pictures. Caleb was actually in New York on an unrelated trip and met up to shoot with me.
I feel so blessed that I was part of their engagement. They are truly beautiful people. I hope to be in touch with them for years to come.

I shot some more film that I will post in a few weeks but here’s a quick look at some digital.

Az & Danny

Today marks the one year anniversary of my good friends Azurae and Danny. Az and I have been friends since Samford and I was so blessed to shoot their wedding last December in Seattle. The day holds two A Bryan Photo records:
1. Our only wedding in Seattle
2. Our only wedding on a Monday
People constantly comment on the uniqueness of their wedding, an instant classic in most viewer’s minds.
What a year it has been for this cool couple. In June I got a call from Azurae telling me that Danny had been asked to go on tour with Tori Amos as her lead guitarist. Tori’s husband, who is typically her lead, suffered from a nerve injury that laid him up for the rest of the year. I knew that Danny was pretty ridiculous with a guitar, but never knew that it was this serious. Within 48 hours, Danny and Az were rushed to England, far from their new and simple Seattle life and into a Tori Amos World Tour that would kidnap the majority of their first year of marriage. Tomorrow night marks the end of the tour and the beginning of the unknown for these two. I’m so proud of this giant leap forward for Danny’s career and cannot wait to see where God has them next. I’m sure both of them hope that lots of down time in Seattle is in their near future.
Happy Anniversary Phelps’!

Update on The DD Dliwayo School.

Many of you have asked about the T-shirts and I’m happy to announce that the orders began shipping today! If you haven’t gotten your order by December 28th please let me know. I appreciate your patience up to this point because I have never had to fulfill t shirt orders. We just figured it out when I got back from Africa and we are now ready to rock and roll!

The custom Hanson print:

These are going to be a bit longer until fulfillment because we are still working through the best way to frame them where the Hanson guys can sign them but we hope to get them printed by the end of next week. Also, I thought I had sold all 10 but the last print actually fell through. If any of you want the last of this very rare yet special Hanson piece, let me know at info@abryanphoto.com. The cost of this framed print is $750.

The school is working on a list to show what all your money is going towards and they are also anxious to get in touch with several of you who want to help them out further. Thanks again for all that you guys have done for this special school. It truly is remarkable!
